I said a while back what I'd do if it Clinton and Trump were the nominees--I'd vote for a 3rd party candidate if the race wasn't close in NC, and for Mrs. Clinton if it was close.

Man, if Trump was the Democratic nominee and Cruz was the Republican I'd end up voting for Cruz.  Cruz is full of bad ideas.  Trump has catastrophic ideas. And the he doesn't even know why his ideas are catastrophic.  I have it on good authority that when Trump suggested defaulting on the debt Yi's heart stopped for a full minute.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

There is still one last thing I must do to earn my woman card.

This reminds me a bit of the 2002 French Presidential election when all those Socialists had to vote for Jacques Chiraq

Though Hillary probably will not win 82.2% of the vote.

I will not vote, of course.  My one vote will not change anything.  We as individuals need to accept the fact that we cannot change an organisation as large as a country.  It is our obligation to stay home.

Having said that, I think Donald Trump is basically as far away from an ideal presidential candidate as possible.  Humility is not his strongest point and I cannot imagine him assembling a good team.  The man is a bigot and liar.  He will lead the country toward disaster.  Hillary is not perfect, but she is at least a normal and sane politician.  She will likely continue Obama's policies, which I think are mostly reasonable.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

I don't think that will be sufficient in the years to come.

That may or may not be true, but given the choice between Donald Trump and somebody else, one needs extremely good reasons to not vote for that somebody else.

Raving insanity and self destructive idiocy based on internet LOLZ is I suppose? Since you seem to communicate entirely in internet memes I guess so.

Sorry I don't think internet memes are sufficient either.

Now that the Democratic Primary is all over but for the shouting, I'm curious how Languish stacks up on the candidates.  Is there anyone who is undecided at this point?  Is there anything that would make you change your mind on your candidate?

I plan to vote for Hil.  Hil would have to do something outrageous (like appoint Michael Moore her running mate) to make me change my mind; in which case I would vote third party.
I don't like Hillary.  But between her and Trump, I'd vote Hillary, if I could.

I'd vote for Clinton. But I don't think she is going to change things much for the better, so we face the same problems (maybe bigger) 4 years down the line.

Yup.

Poll doesn't include a write-in option, which might be significant this election.

I forgot where I was for a second and looked for a like or an upvote button for this comment.

I'd probably put in a blank ballot.

Seriously.  Since Sanders nixed running as an independent, even the 3rd-party protest vote sounds amazingly like enabling crazy this year.
