People of Languish,

I humbly and publicly petition for the unbanning of Martinus. He is a part of the central fabric of the forum and without his wit, his charm and his intellect the Languish experience is sorely lacking.

Of course, I fully support the mods decision to give him a ban to cool his jets, but the jets are cool and he's ready to rejoin his internet family.

Please release our friend from bondage. #FeelthePole
Considering the standards of Languish, it's really an exploit to be banned from here.  To have it happen to you, on average, once a year, is an achievement worthy of mention.

Not really. If a moderator doesn't like you, they might ban you for little or no reason. I used to get banned almost weekly, for posting rather mundane stuff that no one else would get banned for. It was really irritating, and I'd strongly arguing against applying such a treatment to any other poster.

Except, well, the moderator that kept randomly banning me was Martinus. So...
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

 Same thing happened to me.  Remember when he pretended to leave, and give up mod powers and everyone cheered?  Then his mod powers were taken away for real.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I used to get banned frequently by the CdM, but it was pretty justified.

Once he banned me for like 3 months. It was painful.

I used to ban you regularly J-dawg.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Really? I don't remember you being a mod. I'm not sure why you'd ban me. I thought we were friends.

I'm pretty sure he banned me once for something that happened in World of Warcraft

He's kind of a joke of a human being. He's not even a subtle troll. I don't know why you guys keep engaging with him in the election thread.

I am pretty sure you are lying. I don't think I have ever even played WoW with you. But feel free to produce evidence.

Plus, he's actually been entertaining recently.

Ah now I get what passes for entertainment in your shit hole of a state. In the wider world, honey, his antics are just tiresome.

I don't know that Marty's all that entertaining, but the reactions he's getting sure are.

Martinus is back.  Again.  Yet still there is no justice for BA. :weep:
