I'm not sure what a "regressive" is, but he certainly has odd ideas about what libertarians are. Some guy who worked for Ron Paul wrote a racist article 40 years ago so all libertarians are racist; this is probably the same kind of rationale for how he determined they're all homophobes.

Regressive is the term used by Bill Maher and the likes for liberal "progressives" who in the name of political correctness end up defending rather nasty ideas and ideologies.
