Oh and FYI: I've mentioned it before but during the last year and a half, I was doing higher-level work than "is it highlighted green"?  Still not very glamorous (nor hard, generally), but I was doing exclusively privilege work and preparing privilege logs, which at least involved some actual legal skills as well as incorporated litigation support skills.  (This is opposed to the sole requirement for doing first level doc review, namely the ability to differentiate between the colors red and green.)  It was still scut work, but not hardcore retard work.

He came back a couple weeks ago to post in the NFL thread, but that's been it.

He had seemed more miserable than usual due to some long-term unemployment, but no one can say for sure what drove him to leave.  We were actually kind of worried - we had someone who had his number give him a call just to make sure he was still okay.

Yep.  It wasn't in the least sense hard, but I had to think about what I was doing.  Most doc review is so easy that it doesn't require paying strict attention, even to do it well.

Really?  That's not true in the US or UK.  Who acts as solicitors in Canada, if lawyers include only those called to the bar?
