Homicide detectives are probing Toronto's latest murder after a 22-year-old man was shot to death while riding his bike after getting groceries late Monday night.

Police say Tevane Sean Lennon was riding near Martingrove and Finch Avenues. He was going home after getting some groceries just before 11 p.m.

Det. Sgt. Frank Skubic says the victim was allegedly approached by a male or a group of males in a dark vehicle. They rolled down a window and fired several shots at the victim, Skubic says.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the man lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead while being rushed to hospital, police say.

The murder took place on a tree-lined residential street. Stray bullets hit a nearby home and a vehicle parked in its driveway.

Police say the victim lived in the immediate area and was the father of a three-year-old girl. While he was known to police in the past, police say, its believed the victim was gainfully employed and was turning his life around.

Skubic says it's too early to link the violence to a number of other recent shootings in the area, but investigators are probing any connections.

The man's death was the city's 36th homicide of the year. His name has not been released by police.

I think it is nice Tevane Sean Lennon's anonymity is being protected.

Maybe CP24.com got the name of the victim from someone other than the police.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Btw, I kinda of knew it but didn't really know it, but apparently one is free to walk about naked in SF whenever one likes. :o

Sometimes I really worry about my countrymen.
Reading the Sun today there's a bit about Inglorious Basterds (which the adverts just call Inglorious...). It says that it is a true story film....
err...what?

In other news though the sixth in line to the throne is going to study at my old uni. Which is just

Does it count as a war film?
