Its popularity is helped by how easily an american audience can get into it- there isn't much "Japanese" about Cowboy Bebop.
See, I find that helpful.  These days, everybody's a fucking high school student.

So were a great number of shows in Bebop's era as well. Good stuff continues to be made that feature older protagonists in different settings. It isn't my thing, but you might like Jourmungand, airing this season. The best thing currently airing is probably Fate/Zero, which has exactly one teenager in its cast, who is a supporting character.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

I'm seriously considering leaving Languish.  Half of you mother fuckers are ignoring me anyway, my family is disintegrating and I'm in great pain every minute of the day.  I'm sure Marty and Grumbler will consider this a great victory.  Grumbler has spent several years trying to get everyone to ignore me and Marty has been trying to provoke me to suicide for years.

I dunno, I'll think about it.

I hope you stick around. You come up with some of the best lines on the forum, and don't take things too serious. Which is good because of what you wrote about Marty.  :P
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Yeah, Raz. In spite of being your enemy, I like you. It's just sometimes you cross the line, but most of us do one time or another.

I thought you were ignoring me Jake.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

AR quoted you though, so he saw it anyway.  ;)

Yes. But I have a few more jerseys of clubs I don't hate (i.e. no Phillies, Yankees, Red Sox . . .) and whose jerseys I like. Currently Blue Jays, Padres, Reds and Mariners. Looking to add Orioles, Tigers and maybe Rangers. Those are the cheaper replica jerseys from the MLB store, though (<100$). The Pirates that I got from my sister for Christmas a few years back is the only "expensive" one (>200$).

Ebay is your friend for jerseys.  I've gotten all of mine off of there and never had an issue (aside from one time the seller forgot to mention the fact that it was a youth sized jersey. <_< )  Why no Royals or Indians?
