I find it odd they show a shot of San Bernardino looking just fine and then pronounce it the dirtiest in the country. Well fuck, we must be a pretty clean country if that nice looking picture is the dirtiest we got.

I give it a old newspaper image of Ruud Gullit jumping over St James station (newcastle) entrance. Ask it to clean it up for me.
It says its got public figures so I can't mess with that.
I say I don't want anything changed. Just clean up the image.
And....it gives me a totally different image of the outside of St james station in London :/

I was away for a week, in Albania. Since Albania is outside the EU, the WiFi and data packages I have are worthless. This meant I only used the Internet to check emails. I read books on my Kindle app on the beach, but the distraction from push messages and news alerts was gone.

It was relieving, I was suddenly less stressed and present.

I think I will leave my phone at home more often. Not working in journalism anymore has its perks. Like not necessarily being available all the time.

Especially for the things where it is really easy to just check something/do something on your phone during a longeur like a film or reading. The fact of requiring a physical act just adds a useful bit of friction and 9/10 going to the phone isn't worth it.

But still able to access, say, music apps etc.
