John McAfee has killed himself in prison in Barcelona.

The only news I'm seeing is his extradition was approved just now.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Apparently his extradition to the US had just been approved.

Getting subtle messages from U.S. officials saying, in effect: "We're coming for you McAfee! We're going to kill yourself". I got a tattoo today just in case. If I suicide myself, I didn't. I was whackd. Check my right arm.

After all, no one has ever changed their minds after months in prison.

McAfee is just the sort of guy to get a tattoo like that and then kill himself.

I'd argue McAfee probably had already decided to mort himself if he was extradited, and decided to play mind-fuck.  No one but he had a motive to kill him.

That's my take, too. Plus, he will continue living in nutty conspiracy theories.

Considering the trunk is still intact that actually seems fair enough to me. In theory at least. Doing it because of a hate of birds instantly renders any sympathy null and void.

The fact that the tree is now weighted on one side and not the other will eventually destroy it.  That happened to a neighbor's tree after the power company cut off the branches on one side of his tree to protect some new power lines.  They should have just taken the tree down, because my neighbor eventually had a to pay a hefty price to a tree company to do it.
