It's an online poll but by a legitimate polling company (and, certainly in the UK the pollster with the best record is YouGov who are exclusively online). Sample of 1000 interviewed online - doesn't seem too problematic to me.

Edit: And you're right that is the US poll - the UK CEO tweeted it noting they'd got virtually identical results in the UK.

Interesting how fast bisexuals went from being only a rumor and probably a homosexual in denial to being 1/5th of the population.

I still don't trust online only as I expect online to skew higher education, higher income, less religious, all of of which correlate with more LGBT.

Coincidentally, here's Gallup from around 15,000 on and offline.  Not directly comparable but generally consistent.

Maybe. As I say in the UK one of the most prominent pollsters for 20 years has been online only and they routinely get the best results at things like elections, but then they also use their panel for quirky polls too. Generally the big issue I think pollsters have here is the decline of landlines, which skew heavily towards older people - so most pollsters use online to some extent.

And you're right that Gallup poll is interesting because it is broadly similar on generations, but I wonder if that's almost the step after this one. So the Ipsos Mori one is looking at attraction and then Gallup is about identification. From a gay perspective I think those are probably the steps everyone goes through on coming out, but obviously not everyone does - or not everyone does yet.

I think it's interesting because my suspicion is that it isn't that people are different but the social expectations around them are different and, I think and hope, more positive and open for younger generations.

I wonder to what extent the rise in "bisexual" is down to the fact that amongst the online woke population being identified as white-cis-het is a negative, and while you can't do anything about your skin colour and most aren't going to transition, it's quite easy to just call yourself bisexual even if your partners have been exclusively opposite sex.

Just one theory.

I do think some of it is down to that. My younger stepbrother noted being bi was fashionable in his set as it allowed people to not be 'part of the problem'

Tiger woods was in a bad car accident. Single vehicle, clear conditions so I'm guessing pills again, or booze.

The neighbors say that the part of the road that he had the accident on is dangerous and has had multiple fatal accidents. I assumed he was going too fast for the road.

Top left can toggle between map and satellite view.
On satellite view zoom right in and it has little model trains racing about.

I also think that there's a time in one's life where experimentation happens, and it's usually in the late-high school/early college years. I know I did, only to realize that I really wasn't interested in women like that. I enjoy the female body as a work of art, but not in a sexual way. That's much more the case today as there is far less "baggage" in experimenting now than there used to be.

But had I not experimented - or been given the freedom to do so by the people I was around - I wouldn't have known. I think that bit gets lost in these kinds of conversations.

That's pretty good. I see now that ours is due for an upgrade.
