That's the same video I found. The guy I talked with who I could barely understand was from the last place in the video, around the 7 minute mark, although I don't know if he was from there originally. A female colleague of him was much more understandable, but same case, I don't know where she was from originally.

From Letterkenny?  The last four talkers were pretty comprehensible to me.

This dude's a little tough to figure out.

He's from Northern Ireland - I LOVED this when it went viral. It's like the spirit of Ian Paisley inhabiting a teenage boy

He even looks a bit like him

On the accents...does anyone know the accent origin (I'd guess somewhere in Scotland, of course, but it's definitely doesn't strike me as a strong Scottish accent) for the Lady Deidre Skye character from the old Alpha Centauri game?  I've heard it/similar a few random times on radio here.

I thought she was posh Aussie/Kiwi

Voice is credited to one Carolyn Dahl, but SMAC is her only IMDB entry.

QuoteMiriam Godwinson was born in Georgia, in the Christian States of America in 2014. Her father was a high-ranking minister in the Evangelical Fire, one of the apocalyptic sects that appeared in the American Christian community after the turn of the century. Baptized in River of Fire at age 7, she attended a series of religious schools, culminating in a degree in theology from the College of the Covenant and a doctorate in psychology from Yale University.

I also only just realized that Aki Zeta-5 is basically 7 of 9 from Star Trek. Scandinavian, turned into an emotionless cyborg. Even their first names are similar (Annika vs Annikki). :D

Listened to some "cultivated Australian" accents, and I don't think it is even close.  And as I said, I for sure heard an almost identical type accent on the radio a couple times over here in the UK.  I'm guessing it some kind of regional Scottish, just not sure where.

I listened to a clip and where ever she's originally from, she has picked up some American.

I just finished redrafting a document that had numerous references to "he/she".  I reflected on the fact that when I went through school we had to use "he" in those circumstances.  Then in university, some of the far out cool profs gave extra marks if we used "she" in place of the traditional use of "he".  In this document, I  replaced "he/she" with "they" throughout, explaining to the person I sent the draft back to that the people being identified might wish to use a pronoun other than he or she.

I guess I will find out more about who I am dealing with in the morning.  :D

Oh man, that is going to be hard to live down. The poor guy. 😄

That is making the rounds fast.  First saw it in firm wide email.

I love the judge's reaction to being told "I am not a cat"
