I just learned that Felicity Huffman, the first of the defendants in the mass college admissions cheating scandal to plead out, is married to William H Macey.  How did he manage to not get involved?

Also that her sentence was 14 days in Club Fed.

It's really easy. You get an appointment with a notary, sign some documents, and wait for them to be published in the company register. The lawyers send you a bill afterwards.
