I think it's been mentioned that many Japanese believe in some of the stereotypes or myths but actually regard them as a positive.

IIRC the Japanese have historically had a strong affinity for the Jews for some reason.  Outside of the Netherlands, I think the first country where Anne Frank's diary because a huge bestseller was Japan.  Also, didn't they refuse to persecute Jews during WWII even though Hitler kept urging them to?

Were there any Jews out there for them to persecute?  I mean they would have killed the Kaifeng Jews for being Chinese anyway.

Though IIRC the Japanese embassies in some of the Euro countries did some good things.

How do you deal with living in a country 5% more anti-Semitic than the US?

Best part of it all is that knowing my professor he'll do it in a in incredibly detached and scholar-like way. He'll freeze frame on some cum shot and talk about the frame size, the angle, the lens and how they try to convey a feeling of desire on the viewer, etc...

There's a quantitative analysis that could be interesting: I'd reckon pornos have the longest average shot length of any genre of film.  And what do long takes promote?  Presence, verisimilitude, and engagement.

That said, other than the blocking and scenario, pornos seem more concerned with coverage rather than cinematic concerns.

You know "too much" is really hard to pin down, but there seems little doubt that in #2, #5 and #7 they have disproportionate control compared to the number of jews out there in the world...
