Byelection tonight after a Labour MP died. Labour safely won it. UKIP went from 3.5% to second place on 18%, though this was rated as a tough seat for them. The Lib Dems had their worst byelection result since the war in terms of votes lost. They even lost their deposit

I guess UKIP are getting a double boost from the Tories appealing to the centre and the lib dems no longer being a protest vote.

a student's cineclub screens two vintage prints of an erotic AND pornographie movie. That's Bilitis and Extreme Heat with the legendary Cicciolinan for those interested.
