I've been watching old Stargate episodes (up to Atlantis now) on Netflix lately, and, damn, it really seems like they need to pack something with more juice than the P90s they roll with.  Also, they need to take more dudes with them through the gate.  A squad of Marines or something seems like it would be appropriate, considering what they regularly run in to.

E:  Also, Tealc running around with one of those in each hand just looks silly.  That guy needs an M240.

Even with my recent discovery of Google calender my organisational skills still suck. Apparently you need to put the event at the right date before you can successfully remember it, bah I say!

Yeah, I never understood why they roll into the Stargate armed as the equivalent of an executive protection team.  I mean, OK so maybe we can't squeeze a Bradley in there, but come on, you can't tell me they can't stack the heavy stuff in there.  I'd be bringing a reinforced company with a heavy slice from an ACR.

  "I was told that foreigners see America in decline...and the only solution to stop it is a balanced budget!"

QuoteForeign leaders see 'America in decline,' Australian foreign minister tells Romney
By NBC News staff and wire reports

SAN FRANCISCO -- Australia's foreign minister privately warned Sunday that foreign leaders see "America in decline," Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said.

Romney said he met with Foreign Minister Bob Carr in a San Francisco hotel Sunday night shortly before a Republican fundraiser.

He said Carr suggested that America could improve that international perception "with one budget deal" that helps balance the budget.

"And this idea of America in decline, it was interesting [Carr] said that; he led the talk of American being in decline," Romney said at the fundraiser, according to The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper. "And if they're thinking about investing in America, entrepreneurs putting their future in America -- if they think America's in decline they're not gonna do it."

The foreign minister requested the private meeting, a Romney spokesman said. The campaign would not say whether the two discussed foreign policy.

Romney is scheduled to launch his first trip abroad as his party's presumptive presidential nominee later this week. He's set to meet with leaders in England, Israel and Poland.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

It's a great parody of the number 1 song.

The former more than the latter - though I've known since January that the former was happening.
i'm assuming she's staying in the better part of detroit... is there a better part of detroit?

Thankfully she appears to have survived and moved on. Still need to get the report on how she feels about the...city.

Got my credit report. I figured it was decent, but it turns out I have all the points. Eight hundred. I guess having a mortgage that's underwater by a hundred grand doesn't hurt you unless you stop paying it.
