Yeah.  You know, I don't give the Taint much credence, as Tim has hyped many fine works, but this is the sort of thing is pretty much exactly why no one trusts his tastes.

The book was great.

It's not just me thinking it, it got many fine reviews. How good the movie will be...who knows?

Romney app misspells 'Amercia'

Mitt Romney's presidential campaign misspelled the word "America" on its new iPhone app, and it's already paying a price for it.

In the app, the phrase "A Better America" is misspelled "A Better Amercia." The misspelling was picked up and tweeted widely Tuesday night, soon spawned a hashtag-driven Twitter meme in which people imagined just what Amercia stood for and what kind of policies Romney had planned for Amercia.

The Romney campaign told The Fix that it had submitted a corrected version of the app to Apple, which has to approve the update.

Just caught up with the Hellsing OVA episodes 8-9. Damn, hard core as ever.

Also, Alucard's Vampire the Masquerade stats have increased once more. Literally the only vampire besides the Antediluvians that could oppose him is ur-Shulgi, the Herald of Haqim.

Hellsing - a manga and anime about a vampire named Alucard, who fights for the British crown. Was Dracula before he was defeated by Abraham van Hellsing in the 19th century and swore eternal allegiance to him and all his decedents.

OVA - original video animation, basically an anime miniseries. Much higher animation quality than a regular series.

Vampire the Masquerade - a popular role playing game about vampires from the 90s.

Antideluvians - In VtM these are ancient vampires who survived the flood, essentially the grandchildren of Cain the first vampire, they are the founders of all modern vampire clans and wield god like power.

I simply looked at Alucard and what he could do, looked at my Vampire the Masquerade rulebooks and stated him out according to the rules. What I posted was only his supernatural abilities, I got a couple of pages worth of more mundane characteristics, skills, back story, etc.
