I don't know, but every country I pick says 90x% less on health care.

So I'm guessing it's not taking it into account.

But then again, Mono gets street stand prescription drugs for peanuts so maybe it's legit.

You spend more on your public healthcare system per head than the UK. It is quite amazing.

Ah, so it's a cost only analysis and not an out of pocket consumer one.

I always think these comparisons are a bit unfair on the US, which has a tremendous diversity within it (like the EU as a whole). It might be better to have different options so you could, say, compare Austria with a selection of individual US states.

If France were your home instead of The United States you would...

be 39.73% more likely to be unemployed :(
have 20.08% more free time Well yeah I would be unemployed
make 32.39% less money Ditto
be 85.67% less likely to be in prison This might explain that employment thing, more competition
consume 54.31% less oil
spend 47.27% less money on health care
use 42.67% less electricity Alright so maybe saving all this money on oil, electricity, and health care might make up for the lower income and unemployment.
be 68.42% less likely to be murdered Sadly no more likely to be guillotined. The French have gone soft.
experience 32% less of a class divide Fortunately the effects of the guillotine still lingers.
be 46.35% less likely to die in infancy I wonder if this evens out the 6.93% fewer babies thing.
live 2.1 years longer Because I am not dying of AIDS
be 33.33% less likely to have HIV/AIDS
have 6.93% fewer babies

I say it is a push. If only I had just stayed in France in 1998.

Someone do Somalia PLZ

If Somalia were your home instead of The United States you would...

die 27.98 years sooner
be 16.2 times more likely to die in infancy
make 98.86% less money
spend 99.96% less money on health care
use 99.78% less electricity
consume 99.15% less oil
be 47.37% more likely to be murdered
be 16.67% less likely to have HIV/AIDS
have 3 times more babies

Well at least I would have six children to keep me company in my crushing poverty. Man we even lag behind Somalia in AIDS. Way to go America.

Finally, we can put this argument to rest.

Quote
If Canada were your home instead of Hong Kong you would...

be 2.3 times more likely to be unemployed

use 2.3 times more electricity

make 18.22% less money

experience 40.22% less of a class divide

consume 38.17% more oil

be 72.53% more likely to die in infancy

be 55.56% more likely to be murdered

be 3 times more likely to have HIV/AIDS

be 3.51% more likely to be in prison

die 1.11 years sooner

have 9.7% more babies

Well, then there's that whole "having to live in a partitioned toilet" thing.  :hmm:
