You're kidding me, right?  Me hitting you with successful piracy is irrelevant to any deals made between us.  You knew I would be trying it.

But, whatever.  Just means I get to ignore trying to win the game in favor of trying to make sure you don't.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

 So you always keep deals that are clearly detrimental to you?

Habbaku

Nice of you to admit your dishonesty, at least.  You never intended on following through with it.  Congratulations!  You got me!

I did, until you started plotting against me.

But fine, I'll give you your treasure, if that's what it takes to get you to play the game.

:lmfao:  Every player plots against everyone in this game.  As in all multiplayer games.  There are no teams.  Acting like you were going to keep your end of our bargain "until (I) plotted against you" is laughable, at best.

You should do as you please.  You should also be aware that there are repercussions.  As I have stated on numerous occasions, there is a time and a place for a stab (a la Diplomacy).  Specifically, when you think it will win you the game, or put an opponent in an incredibly negative situation.  Making a pointless stab because I did something that you knew I was going to do before you made the deal is not something I am going to reward by ignoring.

iirc you cannot go straight from war to alliance.

That is incorrect.

Ah right, I misread that restriction saying you cannot ally if you're currently at war.

Habbaku

Yeah, that does seem a pretty trivial bullet (you cannot ally unless you're not at war/can't ally if you are at war), but you know someone would try it...

And Tamas and sbr still to announce deals.

Maximus

Mary and Darnley live happily for a while after. +1 vp each. +2 influence each in Scotland.

Spain will make no new DOWs, in case we progress to that point before I'm online again.

And in spring deployment, remember to place your newly arrived leaders on the map.

Tamas

HRE Accepts the treasure from England, and the card draw from France, and gives 4 mercs to France.

This is why you should never trust the infidel Sultan Habs.
