As a non-Cubs fan, I kind of prefer the reputation of them being the team that hasn`t won since 1908 to the idea of them winning now.  I mean - the Red Sox used to be cool, the Curse of the Bambino and all, but now they`re just the mini-Yankees.

By which of course I mean - Go Royals Go!

Them's fightin' words!

The truth hurts, doesn't it. :console:

Elston Howard, dammit!

Being mini-Yankees is sure better than being the east coast Cubs.

Anybody who has not been dead for 30+ years?

Manny Sanguillen is still alive.
Earl Battey might still be alive.

Yeah, well the conservatives still lost!

Damn you, John Oliver!

He's been dead for almost 12 years now.

The Cubs are going to need something close to a 2004 Red Sox miracle now.

Very soon something identical to it.

Anyone but the mets. I'll be a die hard Royals fan for the next two weeks if that is what it takes. Toronto...I'll over look their crimes in 1992 and support them as well.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Shit - I forgot that MLB goes 2-3-2, and that there's a game tonight.

Jays up 1-0 at the bottom of 6.

I know the Royals are up 3-1 in the series, but in a reference only a Royals fan would use, the '85 Royals came back from 3-1 deficits in both the ALCS and WS, so no lead is safe in baseball.

Ouch.  Voloquez just walked a run in.  :pinch:

2-0 Jays.
