possibly your best bet.  You will also need a 802.11ac adapter, PCI-E or USB 3.0.  When you do, ty the 5ghz band, it's faster at closer distance and also more resistant to interference since there are less stuff running on that band (some of my home cordless phones interfere with the wi-fi on 2.4ghz).

Laptop connected on WiFi using my phone as hotspot, on 4G LTE. Not bad for T-Mobile. But the test thinks I'm in Orlando FL instead of B'ham AL. :unsure:

Just switched from Uverse to TwC cable.

Old speed: 6 mbps down, 1 up
New speed:118 mbps down, 12 up

Also, no more data usage caps.

Cable internet just bumped us up from
Dl'd 100 mbps, Upload 2 mbps to
Dl'd 200 mbps. Upload 10mpbs.

And no caps up from 300GB.
Still expensive though $130 a month.

I'm at 150 down, 15 up. Upgrading to 250 down, 25 up soon. Limits? Caps? What's that? :unsure:

kat, I could have gone as high as 300 down, but I didn't feel like paying that much... what I have now is so insanely fast compared to what I used to have that I'm happy as a clam with it at the moment. :)
