I'm so confused now as to what I should consider a guilty pleasure.
Before i would have said something like Entourage or Psych

To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

I don't think it's about target audience, but more about objective quality of the show.

Great, except it isn't. It's about the guilt of the person, for whatever reason.

Edit: and since you always agree with me: all fags must fucking hang.

I don't think it's about target audience, but more about objective quality of the show. In fact, it's actually the target audience for whom the show is usually a guilty pleasure, despite it being a bad show overall.

When I mean target audience, I mean way, way outside the target audience. Like adults watching kids shows, men watching chick flicks, that kinda thing.

Or Married With Children (which has aged pretty badly).

It still cracks me up sometimes.

No, a guilty pleasure would probably be closer to something that one would not be expected to enjoy and runs contrary to type,

Ed Anger head of BJ & the Bear fan club suffice?

No, as Ed would totally be expected to enjoy BJ & The Bear.  And Sheriff Lobo.

I've expressed my love for Claude Akins.

Frasier's not a guilty pleasure. It's brilliant.

Let's bomb Russia!

Agelastus

Back when I was at Uni. and for a time afterwards - "Sunset Beach". :Embarrass:

I dislike Soap Operas (whatever the country of origin) both personally and as a general programming concept. But that particular train wreck I couldn't stop watching.

During my school days I watched (and enjoyed) Santa Barbara (at least its early years), because it was on when I came home (and Married with Children ran after it). Also, it had the young Robin Wright.
