Average seem to be 4/5 for Portugal to win and with the surprinsingly low odds of 18/5 for an American win.

Most popular bet is USA (19/5).

If USA finishes first and Russia second or vice versa, that's what would happen.

Two second tier European teams playing each other... :zzz

Yeah, so much for Belgium being a dark horse.

Yeah, so much for Belgium being a dark horse.

Thing is, 2 sides have to advance out of that group, just like any other.

At any rate, I picked the US over Portugal in the Languish pool, even though I had picked Ghana over the US.  BTW, I'm not changing any of my group picks--it just seems fairer to leave them as I had them before the start of the tourney.

EDIT:  Well, apparantly I actually picked the US and Portugal to draw.  Dang it.

Watching BEL - RUS, this match doesn't belong in this World Cup IMO.

It is pretty crap. To think that some commentators were hailing Russia after their performance at the Euro 2008 as "the next big thing".

Well, at least my pick in the pool was correct. :P

The Belgium team reminds me somewhat of their '86 team. Just needed Hazard to have an awakening.

I am not sure they have the overall quality like their '86 team, but if they can grind out results like this, who knows how far they'll go.

Agelastus

Godsdammit that's the second match in this World Cup that I've picked as a draw that's had a single-goal decider scored in the last couple of minutes. :(

Or it looks like it, anyway.
