I preordered but it appears there is no game to download yet.  Am I missing something?  Has the beta started for people who preordered?

you're a bit early. Beta for preorderers should start sometime this month.

Yeah, they had to delay it because they had to divert programmers to the Demigod disaster.

Demigod (developed by a different associated company) was buggy and multiplayer had serious issues at release.I didn't follow it much because the game didn't interest me.

I thought after the initial delay they were supposed to go beta last weekend, along with the PAX demos?

Maybe. They also said they're not under time pressure.

Their initial target was January IIRC, though they pushed it back some after putting it to the vote.

It's gonna be hard to resist preordering this.

HOI3 cured my of my pre-ordering thoughts.  I can't imagine a game i need so badly that I don't wait and see the public reaction before buying again.

I've already decided.  I don't beta test when I'm paid to do it, so I certainly don't want to do it for free.
