We sure were.  Granted, the entire team joined after the season (Kenny Sailors went to the Marines), but yeah, teams like Illinois left for the service before any tournaments after they won their regular season.

It is almost surreal how bad WVU had been in this game.  Didn't they realize their NCAA tournament berth was on the line?

Such a bummer Kansas managed to survive against Oklahoma State.  For a second there I thought Texas had a chance in this tournament.

Interesting bracketology.  According to Kenpom, the combined rankings of the top four teams by region are
Midwest  28 (2, 5, 7, 14).
West      41 (1, 8, 11, 21)
South     43 (3, 9, 15, 16)
East       43 (4, 6, 10, 23)

Valmy, does the Texas draw look as bad to you as it does to me?

And does anyone else think this "first four" shit needs to go?  It is such a blatant money grab.

Well as far as #2 seeds go Michigan is not a horrible matchup for Texas, supposedly one of their big guys is injured.  I am just going by what people have been saying though.  Arizona State is a rough first round matchup, I would be pleasantly surprised if Texas even plays Michigan.

Yeah people are pretty annoyed by the seed, Baylor got the seed we thought Texas was getting.  Basically it seems after Texas lost to them in the Big 12 tournament Baylor and Texas got flipped.  People think our resume was better...I don't know.  I mean you can't cheat your way to a final four, you are going to have to beat the best teams eventually so might as well be put in a really tough spot in the toughest regional.
