They formed entire towns in Oklahoma (and Kansas) in order to escape discrimination and so forth.  The Great Oklahoma Land (stealing) Run coincided with blacks fleeing ths South.  Naturally lynchings and brutality followed.  The whole history of Oklahoma is filled with suck.
