Games you just couldn't get into

Often I'll own a game, and just won't be able to get into it.  I want to like it, but for some reason it never clicks.  Sometimes I'll get into it later on, sometimes not.  Anyone else have this problem?

For example:  Bastion.  I bought Bastion and tried a few times at it, but never could get the controls right.  Never could get into that game.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Civ 5 - but it might have been more I can't get into it again

HOI 3, Victoria 2 - with a lot of Paradox games that aren't CK or EU I feel like I just don't have the desire or patience to learn the detailed mechanics.

Elemental (thanks a lot, Tamas)

A lot of times, games just aren't complex enough in the areas I want them to be to satisfy me. Maybe I'm realistic, or maybe I've just been gaming too long and have unrealistically high expectations at this point.
Winner of THE grumbler point.

EU: Rome - and I love anything Roman...
Civ V - this is getting to feel like Star Trek - give it a rest already
Any MMO once you reach max lvl - boredom central
Dragon Age II - even though I adored the 1st one

EU3
Victoria 2
Pride of Nations

Except for CK2, I stopped buying games after those three.

Elder Scrolls IV, I think, the one before Skyrim.  I tried&tried&tried, but I never enjoyed it.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.
