It's still a bit early for predictions (the Spanish squad hasn't even been announced yet, for instance), but right now I'll go with:

Group stage:
A: Poland Greece Russia Czech Rep.
1st Russia, 2nd Czech Republic

B: Holland Denmark Germany Portugal
1st Germany 2nd Holland

C: Spain Italy Eire Croatia
1st Spain, 2nd Italy

D: Ukraine Sweden France England

1. Russia - Holland

3. Spain - England
4. France - Italy

Semis:
Holland - Spain
Germany - France

Final
Spain - Germany

Not picking your friendly neighboring porkchops to make it out of group play?

No way Poland gets out of the group, imo.

Even hosting?  Remember Greece won this thing not too long ago almost entirely on homefield advantage.

I look forward to the inevitable mud slinging between Geman BILD "Newspaper" and Polish FAKT . . . which are incidently owned by the same publisher.

Honi soit qui mal y pense.

In any other group they could pass. Inthe group of death I doubt it.

And in related news, Villa won't make it in time for the competition.

While Ukraine is not a pretty place, I wouldn't necessarily consider thugs beating each other up to be a human rights abuse - unless there is something about this picture I do not get.

Well you might have heard that the gay pride march in Kiev got cancelled due to the police couldnt guarantee their safety.

The police can't guarantee anyone's safety anywhere.

I enjoy watching the teeth-gnashing from the English press when their brave lads "underperform." Good entertainment for this 'Murrican.
But expectations are so low this time round.  If they get out of the groups that'll be considered a result.
Let's bomb Russia!

But if this happened in front of the Reuters camera, what were the Reuters cameramen doing?

His job.

Yeah, that's what I said early on in this thread. No one expects England to do anything this time, not even the media...that they just may well take it all. :showoff:

:( What about Puyol?

Neither him, but that was already known.
