Habbaku

Up in the Air.  Not sure what I think about it, in total.  It's a good movie and had excellent performances all around, but something's missing from the brew.  The pace also felt off at point, as if things were being dragged out for no real purpose.

8 empty backpacks out of 10.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

It's called a happy Hollywood ending.  The fact that it didn't have one made it even more wonderful.

:hmm:  It had a happy ending.

"there's a long tradition of insulting people we disagree with here, and I'll be damned if I listen to your entreaties otherwise."-OVB

"Obviously not a Berkut-commanded armored column.  They're not all brewing."- CdM

"We've reached one of our phase lines after the firefight and it smells bad—meaning it's a little bit suspicious... Could be an amb—".

Grey Fox

With most TV shows done for the year. Anything good coming up for this summer rotation?
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

Barrister

Went and watched Priest oon Saturday night.

It was, yeah...

It seemed like a movie entirely designed around a bunch of cool visuals, with little to no coherent storyline to tie it all together.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Barrister

Then the wife and I came home, turned on the TV, and saw From Dusk to Dawn was on.  I had never seen it before.

I much more enjoyable vampire movie.

Paul Bettany's attempts to be an action star have redefined the word 'dismal'.  He's just not that kind of actor.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Fox is canceling America's Most Wanted:cry:

Wonderwoman is cancelled.  That was quick.  The pilot has not even aired yet and it's cancelled.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

katmai

It can't be cancelled, it was never started beyond a pilot to shop around.

The bionic woman, new knight rider, now those were  cancelled
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

Ed Anger

One less nerd show to clog up the airwaves.

Well, that was a surprisingly good decision from NBC.

Actually, that mocking the short lifespan of 'The Cape' was one of the funnier bits on Community a few weeks back.

And don't be shocked if WW finds a pickup on CW. They just ended 10 years of Smallville, and air  Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and Nikita.

CW still exists? The network for the poors.
