Green Knight - interesting twist on the poem and beautiful.  I liked it but I suspect those who don't know at least a little about the poem will be a bit lost and may even find it boring - there is no explanation about what is going on.

Yup, it definitely requires the watcher to do some homework.

The Witcher Nightmare of the Wolf - Fun witcher anime. Its a strange one. Exaggerates things to anime levels and gets pretty uncanon with how it handles some things. Completely alters the back story way beyond even what the Netflix show did. I really am questioning how Canon it is and is meant to be - are we to believe the jumping through the air fighting monsters stuff occurs in the same world as the Netflix show or is it a stylistic choice for the medium?

Just came back from watching Dune. Seriously impressive film. My hearing is still recovering from the sensory assault that is its soundtrack.

So this looks really good - BBC and Amazon internationally - with a Steve McQueen produced set of documentaries. They're basically a documentary accompaniment to the (excellent) Small Axe anthology and re-focusing onto black British history.

Uprising on the New Cross Fire:

Black Power on the activists and particularly the Black Panthers:

And Subnormal on the institutional racism in schools that sent a wildly disproportionate number of black kids to schools for the "educationally subnormal" - and the movement of home teaching/education that fought back (the Small Axe film on this is particularly good):

Director Steve McQueen angers me and should be forced to change his name. Every time I hear about him I can't help but think of the actor.
American Chris Evans can do one too.

He could just change his name to American Chris Evans instead of just Chris Evans.

No, he'd stay Steve McQueen, but be New Steve McQueen.

On the contrary, the soundtrack is amazing, but it goes really heavy on the bass and deep sounds, so it ends up being a bit overwhelming.

It was in jest, but I read some complaints about Hans Zimmer and his pervasive influence on soundtracks.
Maybe I'll bring hear protections for the Dolby Atmos screening, just in case.  :P
OTOH, some people even prefer the Lynch adaptation...

Steve NTSM McQueen.

Who tf is non-American Chris Evans?
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?
