Yeah, I've never been too impressed with Ruffalo's acting or screen presence. He's always kind of a guy that's just there.

He's got kind of a chilly, constantly-annoyed presence, which I like.  Thought it worked well in Zodiac and Collateral, as well as in The Avengers.  I've never seen Bana's Hulk, so I can't make blanket statements, but Norton wasn't very engaged.  At least Ruffalo has a spark.

Benjamin Button was fine, and in some parts excellent, until he grew young and they swapped out Brad for that doofus.

It's gotta be one of the worst-structured films I'm ever seen.  I think I maybe liked twenty minutes of it, maybe a few more counting the parts where Blanchett or her digital double shows her gams.  And of course it's 159 minutes long...

...anyhow, I'll save the rest for the Fincher retrospective CDM's been waiting for. :P

I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.  It is so bad.  It is so.  Fucking.  Bad.  Well shot, the CGI is great.  But nearly everything else (structure, almost the whole script, most of the acting, the hummingbird) is some of the worst shit in the world.  Now I can finally say I've seen every David Fincher film, and I wish I couldn't.

Yeah, this really is a terrible movie.  I went with a friend and I'm afraid we were laughing a bit too loud at some of the really insipid moments.  I think it pissed off some weepy people a couple rows in front of us.

Ide probably hasn't seen John Wick yet.  :(

Nearly half way through the pilot of Empire (the commercials got to me) and I am loving it. :D

Okay, confirmed that I'll be watching this. How often do you get a show where a mother gets to unapologetically beat down her grown son with a broom?
That's old school beating. :)

The admin at my work told me that after that scene, she set her DVR to record it every week.

Looked up the series' premise; looks like King Lear in the world of hip hop music. Sounds interesting enough.

Many outlets will mentioning King Lear (which I think comes from the show as one of the sons asks if that's what the scenario, their father has setup, will be like), it is also mentioned as Black version of Dynasty.

I think I forgot to mention that this got good ratings on premiere and better ratings on 2nd ep...enough that Fox has already greenlit a 2nd season! :punk:

Good.  I enjoyed more than I've enjoyed any action movie in a while.  It has character, and intensity.  And it's funny how, no matter what the situation is, Keanu is always careful to make every victim a headshot.

Marvel: All your TVs are belong to us.
A.k.a. Jessica Jones
Another Marvel tv series, after S.H.I.E.L.D and the one in the 40s.
There's also a Daredevil and a Defenders coming.  Oh, Ironfist too.
While I know of Daredevil, I have no idea who are these other bunch.

I think Gotham and SHIELD and the occasional movie more than meet my demand for superhero fiction. They should be careful about overextending.
