Quoting myself yet again :)

I thought I also said someplace that I thought he'd eventually end up in prison, but I can't find that quote.  I'd like to amend that statement, if I can ever find it, to "he'll eventually end up in prison, or the White House.  Either one."

It's not a bad bet, given that Trump has promised to give Musk the power to decide which of his competitors will get government contracts.

The narrative for Tesla is that it will build autonomous robotaxis. So far, that was seen sceptical as their assisted driving system has no regulatory approval for autonomous operation and was unlikely to get it. If Musk is the government now, that might change.

Admiral Yi

FYI, heard a dude on MSNBC say 50% of the current stock price is a bet on autonomous.

But that was delivered and done at least two or three years ago! :bowler:

Yeah, by the time Pinto type damage awards are being handed out by the courts, Elon will have sold his interest in Tesla - if he is smart.

He'll do what the gun industry did, and use his political influence to buy a liability shield from the feds.

Musk will be plenty happy with Trump just awarding him the title of prince of Mars (Trump having already nabbed the Emperor of the known universe)

Hey mongers, good to see you.  :)

Thanks Yi, hope you're doing well.

Turns out I've been away for a year, how did that happen?  :hmm:

Yeah, I also realized that I was assuming a functional judiciary at that point.
