Good Job Trump.

Yeah, that is a real concern of mine. The Americans are going to make moving closer the China much more appealing to the average Canadian than would have been the case if Trump had not won.

Barrister

That is definitely the stupidity of Trump.

"Throwing our lot in with China" is a bad idea and would be bad for Canada.  I seem to recall Australia tried for a little while but realized China just expected to be able to call all the shots.

But if USA is determined to be our enemy then some are going to see a China pivot as our only solution.

Collins will not vote for Hegspeth and the FOP is pissed about the J6 pardons.

Just because he isn't does not mean he isn't establish such regime.

You're here arguing that Staline wasn't a real communist, only Trostky was the real deal.

Quote from: Razgovory on January 23, 2025, 04:59:40 PMHonestly, I am much, much more concerned about Trump cutting Medicaid, without which I can't get my medications, than whether or not the 10 commandments are on the wall.
The two kinda go together, in case you haven't noticed.

The people insisting the 10 Commandments are on the wall aren't those promoting Medicaid for all.

But you stuck your head in the sand, so keep doing it, it will just go away.

Or is it more like their lobby?

A saw that 169 of the J6 rioters were convicted of violent assault, weapons offences, obstructing a law officer. All of those people who attacked a policeman just  got a 'get out of jail card free', including the six who tried to kick an officer to death, the one who had a heart attack and just survived.

You can understand some cops being pissed.

Very easily.  It's the people who are not pissed I have trouble understanding.

  I'm not a Trump supporter, a nationalist or an anti-Zionist.  So don't look at me.  I voted for Kamala.  I don't think anyone is promoting Medicaid for all.  They promote Medicare for all.  Different program.  Cutting services to pay for Tax cuts doesn't come from the Christian fundamentalist wing of the GOP.  It's the older pro-business, reduce government wing of the party.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
