Actually screw that.  What would be the perfect position in a Trump administration for Holk Hogan or Dr Phil (who, doing some googling, has said favourable things about Trump).

Chairman of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports for Hogan?  It was previously held by both Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno, but that might be too basic for Trump.

How about Under Secretary of the Navy - I mean Hogan's from Florida after all and once starred in a TV show featuring a boat.



As for Doctor Phil - I mean that's hardly even a stretch given that he's already appointed Dr Oz to a position.

That being said - he made the ultimate sin in Trump-world - he apologized (mostly) for endorsing Trump.

There is a theory that Trump is placing people in positions that he really cares about based on loyalty and is skewing towards traditional Republican appointments for areas he doesn't care about.

I kinda like that he is signalling he doesn't care about Canada.  I'm quite happy to be well outside of his attention for the next four years.

He knows he is going to be causing a lot of waves over trade and wants someone there that can smooth things over when the USMCA comes up for review next year.

I'm very interested in what will happen with the tariffs. If he imposes them as he said in his campaign  then it seems a major recession, perhaps even a depression, is inevitable. But that will alienate all his wealthy allies, so will the tariffs be watered down and mainly imposed on China? I have no idea but am holding my stocks so i guess my subconscious has a theory
