None that I know of.  But I thought he was just a fictional character

The actor who played Cooter is now the head of the Texas chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Interesting.

I did know that there's a small chain of stores called Cooter's Garage or something in Tennessee.  I've seen one in Nashville and one in Gatlinburg.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

He also was a US Representative at one time too if i recall correctly.
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

That rings a bell Hose.

Also, on reflection I think he's head of the whole shebang, not just Texas.

Correct.  I thought he was from Georgia which is why the Texas comment was weird to me. :hmm:

Bleh.
You suck.  I love George Strait and kept trying to get to one of his concerts before he retired, but never made it. :(

Yes this is well known. Brazil still had slavery you see.
I knew about a few other countries in Central/South-America, didn't about Brazil.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

My Scout troop worked concessions at his concert in San Angelo in the early 90's.

What's wrog with fried chicken and biscuits?
Nothing wrong, it's just not a tradition over here, for summer picknicks.

San Angelo (I was stationed there for 5 months) is another 2.5 hours from San Antonio...and there is not much there of note.

Caliga

Oh.  Doh  :(  If I ever got to San Antonio I doubt it would be for long enough to make a side trip that long.  Oh well.

One could likely pull a very similar list from any town around 100,000 in population in America.

Garbon would, at least, likely be on my side.  :P
