Every MLB franchise fanbase.  I got a kick out of it.  The Cardinals choked me up.  That's the right way to do it.

Congratulations to Chinese Taipei, your 2025 Little League world champions.

Cleveland is making an absolutely unprecedented run toward a playoff spot and possibly taking the AL Central. They were down 15.5 games to Detroit in July and now are 1.5 back. It has been absolutely incredible to follow along.  :worthy:

The Minsky Moment

Their biggest star in the 80s - Charlie Sheen - is also making a come back of sorts.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Ah,same old, same old. But: not the worst record in the leagues. :P

WTF, Colorado?

Probably going to have the NL Cy Young Winner! So... there's that?

Just a waste of talent. :P

Ralph Kiner was the original Wasted Pirate, so Skenes is in good company.

For others, see: Mike Trout, Nap Lajoie, and Ernie Banks.

When talking wasted talent we must mention Dock Ellis. :P

Best part about the Cleveland surge is that Seattle is surging as well, and the combination may knock the Cheatstros out of the playoffs.  :smoke:  :w00t:  :yeah:

HVC

I guess the jays are in the playoffs.

First AL team in, though they could still lose the division to the Yankees.  Yankees should clinch in a game or two.

The Yankees close out against some of the worst teams in baseball. But the Jays have the tie breaker.  And their magic number is only 4. I like the Jays' chances.

And the Yankees are two down - even under Trump, American math has not degraded to the point where they can make up that deficit in a game or two :P

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.  They can clinch a playoff spot in a game or two, since they are 4 games ahead of both Houston and Cleveland.  I haven't worked out all the numbers, but ESPN tells me a win tomorrow guarantees the Yankees a wild card slot (they must have tiebreakers over both Houston and Cleveland).  The division is possible, but unlikely.

crazy canuck

Oh yes, the Yankees are in the playoffs for sure. The important question is who is going to get to sit and watch the first round.
