Right now there's a bug where AI values trading states at zero (despite what it says on the UI), as long as you have other treaty terms that will be accepted. I managed to buy half the world in exchange for military access.

I missed that exploit :(

Meanwhile. CK3 had its mod that added a couple thousand potential dog names to the game.

Victoria does this:

QuoteEloquent Treaties

A mod that transforms Victoria 3's vanilla treaty screen into actual treaty documents written in formal text format.
Experience various preambles based on different conditions.

Features

Toggle between treaty formats: Switch between the standard treaty interface and formal treaty text through a button in the treaty window for an immersive diplomatic experience with authentic treaty language.

Compatibility

Safe for ongoing games - Can be applied to games in progress
High compatibility - Only modifies UI elements (specifically the Treaty_panel.gui file), so it's compatible with virtually all other mods

The following languages are currently provided through machine translation, but we encourage native speakers to create separate sub-mods to improve naturalness and reduce awkwardness:

I thought they have fixed that.

It's being fixed in the next patch (which is in beta and you can opt into it).

I tried Victoria 3 again and have spent some hours in the last days of my summer holidays.

1. I suck at this game. But despite going bankrupt as Sardinia-Piedmont, I managed to become the only major power among the Italian states and belatedly formed Italy in 1866. The Austrians are so strong I am not going up against them, and France is being very French and annoying.
2. By accident or bug I formed some kind of Super-Germany after spanking France as the NGF. Austria just became mein, alles mein. But Bavaria is still holding out by 1888. I suddenly had a construction sector that was nearly bankrupting me after a few months going 400k in deficit.
3. The British Empire is even more of an asshole in this game, and in this patch in particular than it was historically. Allying with them was a mistake, as suddenly I am called to war against Qing and end up with owning Beijing and rather a lot of annoyed pops. 2400 bureacracy to integrate over 20 years. Thanks.
4. Massive failures as the Japanese Shogunate, and my Russia developed even more poorly than it did historically.
5. Brazil was fun, but I am disappointed no company had "Brazilian wax" as a luxury product.

Too big of a construction sector can be a source of runaway expenses, yes, especially if your construction goods are not dirt-cheap yet.

Also, don't incorporate places like Beijing. It doesn't give anything useful and just allows them to vote in your elections. Generally you only need to incorporate your core areas unless you are going really multicultural utopia.

Actually, it might be worth spinning Beijing off into a puppet, even and let them self-administrate (if you can keep their liberty desire low).
