Now that being said if he has his heart set on hockey I'll take him.  But I don't know that I'm going to push him in that direction.

After bumping this thread, I went through the early posts.  I definitely missed the mark on this one, as a lot of his identity is wrapped up in being a Hockey Player(tm).  For his birthday (which as mentioned was yesterday/today) I took him to the Oilers playoff viewing party together with three of his hockey buddies.
