So many gone now...

(Enjoy a brief moment of nostalgia on this Saturday!)
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."

"Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did."

Yeah, the covid vaccine killed me a few years back, but the government covered it up.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

FWIW, I'm meeting Larchie in a couple weeks. Haven't seen him in quite a while.

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

vinraith lives in Louisville, or at least he did, and he disappeared right around the time I moved down here.  No, I did not kill him. :)

There's been speculation that both Paul Atreides and Ed are deceased.  No idea why in PA's case, but if everything Ed told us was true, I believe it's likely.  spiess and I tried to find an obit for him, but couldn't.

GF and I looked for an obit too. I assume Paul died or went back to jail. Where'd mongers go?

Hubris must be punished. Severely.

I think he got verklempt about the Gaza discussion and took a hiatus.

HVC

I see, thanks. I had checked his last posts and didn't see a goodbye or or anything, but I might have missed it. Oh well, at least he's ok.

Yeah, no goodbye post.  I doubt we will see him back while the war in Gaza continues.

I did too, using my extensive experience as a spy and the personal data one could glean from the TBR...but couldn't come up with anything.
