Quote from: Crazy_Ivan80 on December 19, 2023, 10:44:44 AMMass migration is a real issue that affects people.
Mass migration isn't a thing.
People think its a real and serious issue as its an excellent scapegoat for the real problems in modern Europe.
Then be forever clueless as to why peoplevote the way they do.

A belief in a handy scapegoat for all the problems of the day doesnt make it true.

Neither does it make it untrue.

Which doesn't get us any closer to the truth.

Over 7 months later, we have a government. Sort of.

A prime minister that nobody has ever heard of and who is not a politician. So nobody actually voted for him, which is weird. Weirder still, the Frankenstein coalition is already squabbling amongst themselves publicly and, unbelievably, taking shots at their own prime minister. This is going to be a wild ride, if probably not a very long one.

"Wild ride" is not a phrase I typically associate with the Netherlands, outside of amusement parks.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Wild by Dutch standards, I guess. It will most likely not reach foreign media.

while I support the sentiment that Western Europe shouldn't be the endpoint for mass-migration it's clear that Wilders does suffer from Governmentus interruptus and should go see a doctor for that. It's daft.

Hopefully the Dutch have been paying attention and place the blame in the right place.

So what happens now? More wrangling? Or is there an election?
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

election probably. September was mentioned in our news. But our resident dutchmen will know more

Maladict

Yeah new elections and a caretaker government until, probably, the end of 2025. Not really what we need right now.

Blame will be placed on the other side, of course.

BBB and NSC will likely be mostly wiped out in the next election, it will be interesting to see where those voters go to. Wilders may well be become the biggest party again, but who will want to work with him?
