I don't get the politico story - are they claiming Trump personally guaranteed the loan on 1290 6th Ave?  That would be odd given he is the minority investor and a much bigger player (Vornado) is the main owner. It also hasn't been listed on Trump's OGE forms, including the latest one from a few months ago.

The NYT story from today looks more solid and possibly even more damning (albeit without the China! angle) as there is strong evidence of a $20 million tax fraud and a campaign finance violation on what appears to have a bogus consulting fee paid from a Trump friend and donor.  Plus evidence of a quo for the quid.

Along those lines the Trump finance story that the media seems to be missing is why Koch Industries poured over $200M into Ladder Capital two weeks after Ladder was hit with a big credit downgrade.  Ladder Capital is - along with Deutsche Bank - the single largest direct creditor to Donald Trump.

In several phone calls last weekend from the presidential suite at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Mr. Trump shared an idea he was considering: When he left the hospital, he wanted to appear frail at first when people saw him, according to people with knowledge of the conversations. But underneath his button-down dress shirt, he would wear a Superman T-shirt, which he would reveal as a symbol of strength when he ripped open the top layer. He ultimately did not go ahead with the stunt.

I really wish he had done that.

That would have been so awesome!
