It's now turned midnight here, so
Happy Christmas and a Happy New Years.

Women too. :P
Merry Christmas!
Yeah, what they all said. It's A Wonderful Life, and all that jazz.
It is quiet right now. Just like it was in Da Nang just before Charlie threw himself into the wire.
Merry Christmas all! May you all get your Red Rider BB Guns this year.

Trying to get a wired 4-year old to sleep. Last year the Santa Tracker helped me get him to sleep. Now he's obsessed with looking at the map on Google's Santa Tracker.
Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Ugh, gotta be tough.
Tell him the last time Santa was delayed because a little boy wouldn't go to sleep, the Soviets almost shot him down in 1983.
Just after midnight here now, so Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas.
Tommy is still awake but somehow we've gotten him to stay in his room. Wife is almost done wrapping his presents. Thankfully Lola won't remember this one, cuz Tommy beat her by a 2:1 ratio. I just found too much cool shit for him that I also want to play with. NOW LET DAD HAVE A TURN WITH THAT RC T.34

We realized Andrew also got shafted - with all the hand-me-down toys from his big brother, not much left to buy him.
Merry Christmas everyone! Born is the King of Israel!
It is finally Dec 25th here, so Merry Xmas to you all, even the ones i don't like.
Happy Year End Solstice Festival of your choice! :P
FUCK THIS SHIT. IT IS 5:20 AM.
A somewhat belated (given the night owls above) MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of Languish. :bowler:
Merry Christmas, now let the This Year in Review Shows begin!
Merry Christmas, kids. We sang Felix Navidad in church last night. Kinda odd.
Nina got her own laptop, so now I have mine back.
Gabo got some really nice Bose headphones, I can't wait for him to do something wrong so I can take 'em away for a day or two. :D
Mara got another Pandora charm, so I should be able to play some Black Ops today without much fuss. ;)
Merry Christmas bastards, retards, and assholes alike. ^_^

Apparently, Kindle knows Latin.
Merry Christmas everyone.
I got a bunch of different crap, but aside from the usual ammo and beer, my favorite present (from Princesca):

genuine Resistol Briscoe, folks :alberta:
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate, and happy free-day-off-work for those who don't!
I received a cast-iron teapot, something I'd mentioned to my daughter in an off-hand way that I'd really, really like when we had a little bit more money that then, somehow, ended up a gift under the tree for me.
Kids got stuff. Mostly clothes, which is what they'd asked for. Riley got make-up (oy!) and a Bob Marley t-shirt. Plus, her bff gave her a Bob Marley lava lamp. Max got 12 pairs of new socks, something he asks for every year. He will one day be Woody Harrelson, I'm sure of it.
Today will be calm, quiet, and incredibly peaceful. I'm already so relaxed that I feel like I'm melting in my chair.
May you all have exactly the kind of day you want. Love you all.
The twins got thier my little pony crap, which they immediately turned their Canterlot play sets against each other in a pony civil war. They both attempted to get Michael and his toy tanks on thier side. Eventually, Katerina bought his mercenary services and crushed Cassandra's Pony forces in a blitzkrieg of epic proportions.
Sic transit gloria mundi.
I ended up going with candy for my mom. Not the greatest gift, but as I said, she's one person I don't want to just give a gift card to, and there was nothing else she wanted.
*shrug* If that's what she wanted, then it sounds like a great gift to me. :)
Drama Queens. After making a big to do about how they couldn't possibly show up for Christmas this year - my maternal uncle's family made a surprise appearance.
I forgot it was Christmas and that at Christmas restaurants are closed - I am not amused. <_<

Looks like you are raising good kids. :)
So I got a plush My Little Pony for Lola and she literally picked it up & threw it across the room. Gave her her first Barbie and a similar-looking Snow White doll and she went nuts with them. She also got her first real baby doll and a stroller.
I ordered Tommy a mini RC Tiger tank from China and they sent me a T.34. I've spent more time with it than he has. He's only played his 3DS XL a little (I suppose I should've gotten him some games). Aside from his very loud Boba Fett gun, his favorite present so far has been Lego Lord of the Rings for Xbox.
I got an HDHomeRun Prime cable card box which should theoretically allow me to ditch my TiVos but I think I'll just use it as a backup and to tinker around with for now. Also got blindsided by the parents getting me a Raspberry Pi. Not because of the expense (they're cheap) but because of the thoughtfulness. My brother must have told them I'd like one. I had kind of forgotten about them but yeah, I'll have plenty of fun playing with it.
Got a bunch of beer glasses & mugs from my brother-- running out of cabinet space for them. And got way more blu-rays than I wanted-- exception being The Pacific series.

Yeah, that was very thoughtful of them, especially as it's a bit hit and miss if you can get one within a sensible delivery time.
Now that you've mentioned it, I'll have to get one, iirc there's also now a useful release of RISC OS for it. :bowler:

Those girls are definitely taking after you!
Capping off this Christmas watching 30 for 30s of 'The U' and 'Pony Express' on ESPN U. Good Christmas. :)
The youngest 1st grader niece got the only thing she begged, pleaded, told her friends and teachers and anyone who would listen, wrote to Santa multiple times, and held the Elf on the Shelf hostage in a 4 hour standoff with Mommy last week for: a drum set.
A real one, too. Kettle, bass, snare, two tom-toms, a high hat and cymbal.
She and her older 3rd grade sister, the guitarist, were already working on White Stripes tunes by the afternoon.

I don't remember if I have told this story here before. My dad's sister bought me a drum set when I was 5-6; it was a cheap Mickey Mouse one but it made some good noise. After I outgrew/lost interest in it my dad put it in the attic for close to 10 years until her first kid was the same age and then he gave it back. The look on her face that Christmas was one of the funnier things I have seen.
The one thing Timmy asked for was "cars", and lo and behold, he got more Hot Wheels than you can shake a stick at.
And I generally got very few presents - wife and I are saving for a big trip.
But from my in-laws, I was very touched to get - hockey skates. I haven't had a pair for 20-30 years.

Set up my SD card last night. Hooked up a USB keyboard and mouse to it a few minutes ago, plugged an ethernet cable into it, and have it hooked into the HDMI port on my kid's 22" TV. Powering it with the USB port on the TV & am making this post now on it via Chromium  :nerd:
Merry Christmas everyone!
My brother's mother in law really does not like him. She gave him a $50 gift card to a local restaurant with stern instructions to use it to take her daughter to dinner for her birthday. She also got him a set of three ornaments he has no use for.
She gave her other son in law an iPad mini
