How have you failed?

Younger men, joining a gym, becoming a wine snob, criticising young people's lifestyles.... I'd say you've already started!
Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin Mart!
PS When are you next in London? I have an urge to cruise gay bars!
Thanks. :D
Not planning anything right now but could come in Spring. Meanwhile, I am actually finishing the renovation of my new flat in about 2-3 months, so I'm going to take you on your promise of visiting me in Warsaw - I am going to have one spare bedroom in my new flat, another one in my old flat (and a couch on top of that in the living room of my new one) so there is plenty of space to sleep - in fact we may consider a mini Languish Warsaw meet. :P
I'll put my name down for that
.......and, yes, youth is short but what the hell
What is it, 35th?
Anyway - youth is overrated. Being older and with some money has always made me happier than when I was young. Besides, sexy young things can be had for a price. :swiss:
"Now"?
35 :P
Bonne Fete Marti.
35? Please.
About time you forget about this gay malarky and think about having kids ey what?

35 is like 60 in gay years.
That might have been true in the past. Now with so many gay boomers in advanced ages, things have stabilized a bit.
Yeah, the heterophobes are now dealing what we have had to in pop culture; Sir Ian McKellen is the homo equivalent of Sean Connery now.
Happy birthday, Marti. :)
May you find a bevy of lovely young feet to roll around in.

Now, now. It's more like Brian Paddick and Rupert Everett.
Whatever happend to Rupert Everett anyway? I used to see him in stuff all the time in the 90s. I thought he was a pretty good actor to.
Anyway this takes me back. I remember when Marty made this exact same thread when he turned 30.

Last thing I saw him in was the horrible St. Trinian's remake. Wiki actually lists a lot of films I haven't heard of or bit parts. Wiki also says that he's been doing a lot more theater again.

IIRC Rupert claimed that he was effectively blackballed from leading romantic roles.

I remember hearing him whining about how he was persecuted for his gayness.

Yeah that was my perception of what he said as well.

The only type of role he can play...
Yes, I think he is also somewhat waspish and indiscreet - which a lot of people rather like but is not always taken well by people in the industry. There was a piece about him in the Guardian quite recently :

I liked Everett in Cemetary Man (Della Morte, Del'Amore). Weird but funny movie.

Yeah, dude has to pick his venue. On Languish it's alright to be waspish (garbon), indiscreet (Martinus) or even both together (Grallon). But nobody is making a career out of Languish, except for maybe Raz. Don't shit where you eat.
Are Swedes mentioned in the Polish national anthem?

Are Swedes mentioned in the Polish national anthem?
In EU IV they are; unless Poland gets an event to simply become part of greater Sweden. Then the Poles get to sing the Swedish national anthem with an accent.
Still bummed there was no way to keep the Wasa's on the Swedish Throne in EUII. It was an outrage.

Are Swedes mentioned in the Polish national anthem?
Yes.
Quote from: merithyn on November 30, 2012, 05:21:10 PM
Why?
In the song, from the Napoleonic era, they are calling for Poles to fight Russian and German occupation. At one point they refer to Polish resistance to the Swedes during the 'Great Deluge' of the 17th century.
The USA anthem has no Poles, but it does have Jose who can see the Panzer's Light.

Our anthem is essentially about various people retaking Poland from foreign occupiers. One of these were Swedes during the Swedish Deluge in 1650s. :P
