Option 4: Winter

Simple as that. I also think we may have had this thread before but so what? :P
For me, it's strangely enough Autumn.
It could be because it is the most laid-back season, or because in Poland it is usually quite pretty, especially in September/October, when the days are still quite warm and sunny, the foliage gets yellow and red, but the days are getting short so there is none of the frantic hyper-activity of summer but also none of the deathly ennui of winter.
Agreed. Autumn is best. Girls haven't given up wearing short skirts, football is starting, my birthday comes around, it's no longer insanely hot. Slutty Halloween costumes. The stock market crashes. Everything is great in the fall.
Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, too many allergies in the spring. Fall it is.
Winter
Probably Summer though I like Fall as well. Depends largely on where I am as in New York most of the seasons aren't so lovely whereas in SF most of the seasons are the same. :D
Wabbit
Summer is awesome because of vacation, the beach, going to the pool, and, when I was a kid, being out of school.
Autumn is awesome because of football, the crisp but comfortable feeling in the air, and Halloween.
Winter is awesome because of snow, being able to use the fireplace, more football, and Christmas.
Spring has the start of baseball and March Madness, but that's about it.
Voted winter.
I'm surprised Autumn is leading, with Winter in the second place.
But I guess it was to be expected in a forum full of nerds. :D
Autumn - often an Indian summer, lots of clear, crisp days. Good food.
Summer.
Winter.
Spring - I think this is the worst season in the UK. May is normally nice.

If I remember correctly, last time we did this Fall was the runaway winner.
As you say, we are nerds. We don't like being too hot & we like football.
I should say I love the heat, but I think summer's a lot nicer outside London (2012 excepted ).
Yeah, we also get something like the "Indian summer" in Poland (called "old woman's summer" :P), which makes it a very nice season. Otoh, summers are very unpredictable - for example last week was super-hot and now it is 14 Celsius.
Fall is very nice too, but...
Summer is hiking season. And Camping. And fishing. And all that is good with the world.
So summer.
Autumn? Fuck that. It's fall. When the ladies at Ole Miss wear flattering wrap-around skirts and damn LSU to hell, then knock back red solo cups filled with Seven and Seven. Good times.
Fucking summer bullshit.
Fall. Hurry up and die, leaves.

This reminds me to check the Poon of the SEC blog regularly now. :)

So summer.
You'd feel different if you had to deal with the proper definition of "summer", and not that "summer = cap melt runoff" Canuck definition.
Fall means football and futbol. The world series, the state fair and moolah for me, October and free money from the state. And still getting 16 hours of daylight so can enjoy the outdoors.
Summer means shirtless men.
summer (best)
spring
fall
winter (worst)
It might just be Autumn. There is a certain feeling about it. I remember the dark (yet still reasonably decent weathered) nights when I were a boy playing Baldurs Gate and the like....
Though Spring is good too. Means summer and holidays are approaching.
Fall with Winter a somewhat distant second. I hate heat and humidity, and Spring is generally shitty weather where I live. Football, baseball playoffs, Halloween, cool nights, warm days, Oktoberfest beers, and much more. Fall is just plain awesome.

Not trying to pick, but if you are inside playing Baldurs Gate, why doesn't it matter the temp in the outside world? :D

:yeahright:
You're not getting 16 hours of sunlight in September and October.
Fall. There is just an indescribably joy when the temperatures start to dip below 90F/32C after months and months of being baked alive. But granted that is like mid-October or so.
Also in work the hectic end of the University Fiscal Year has passed me by and in school everything feels new and fresh again.
I like the first season the most.

If you love summer so much move here. It is the best 9 months of the year.
Another vote for autumn. Reliable, pleasant weather, days of a sensible length and my birthday.

If I ever move again it will definitely be further south, yes.
My favorite must be... the season of the witch. :scots:
