Apropos of nothing.
Who's the Gomez girl?
Actually I lied. The inspiration for the poll is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BMwkJH_CPY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BMwkJH_CPY)
GF- she's the star of another Disney channel show.
Meh. Taylor Swift when she was jailbait.
No Jaron option = massive fail.

It would be a real shame not to get to post my next poll: "How far is the stick up grumbler's ass?" :(

Are you *sure* you are not Austrian?
Face of Gomez reminds me WAY too much of Jon Benet Ramsey. Plus she's got that Mexican big hair thing going that makes their heads look huge. Not a big fan of hitting ET.
Under 16s- no, just no.
That a 16 year old could look hot...maybe. But thats the line both in law and fact.
Gomez isn't jailbait. iirc she is 17

Which is still jailbait in most states if you're older than 19.
:P

If I was going to do it, it wouldn't be for the lack of a Jaron option, a convention that I find coarse.
Instead, it would be for inflicting this particular poll on the world. I just can't bring myself to be sexually attracted to either one. I know I should be, since they're of breeding age. Nevertheless, they just don't 'do it' for me. It's the same thing with Julianne Moore, or black women.

Hyptothetical question, as both would be legal in Austria.

For the same reason that anybody else would go to jail for having sex with a 15 year old, you got caught.

I can't quite recall, but I seem to remember being told that the age of consent was generally 17. Only 5 or 6 states go as high as 18.

AFAIK, when they're lower, it's only because of "doctor laws" that protect sex within a certain age gap. FREX, with a 2-year difference, an 18-year-old could have consentual sex with a 16-year-old, but a 19-year-old that tried it would be charged with statutory rape.
The most common age is 16 (more than half of the states have this age limit), however the five most populous states all have a higher age of consent (California-18, Texas-17, New York-17, Florida-18 and Illinois-17).
- age of consent 16: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia
- age of consent 17: Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Texas
- age of consent 18: Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

And "Age of Consent" is not always so simple.
For example, it's 16 in Washington, but there is also this law....
QuoteSexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree.
*** CHANGE IN 2009 *** (SEE 1385.SL) ***
(1) A person is guilty of sexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree when: (a) The person has, or knowingly causes another person under the age of eighteen to have, sexual intercourse with another person who is at least sixteen years old but less than eighteen years old and not married to the perpetrator, if the perpetrator is at least sixty months older than the victim, is in a significant relationship to the victim, and abuses a supervisory position within that relationship in order to engage in or cause another person under the age of eighteen to engage in sexual intercourse with the victim; (b) the person is a school employee who has, or knowingly causes another person under the age of eighteen to have, sexual intercourse with a registered student of the school who is at least sixteen years old and not married to the employee, if the employee is at least sixty months older than the student; or (c) the person is a foster parent who has, or knowingly causes another person under the age of eighteen to have, sexual intercourse with his or her foster child who is at least sixteen.
(2) Sexual misconduct with a minor in the first degree is a class C felony.
(3) For the purposes of this section, "school employee" means an employee of a common school defined in RCW 28A.150.020, or a grade kindergarten through twelve employee of a private school under chapter 28A.195 RCW, who is not enrolled as a student of the common school or private school.

 The problem is people get mixed up on "age of consent." It
doesn't necessarily preclude statutory rape; IIRC, all 50 states have brought their statutory age to 18, and the gaps are all filled in by doctor laws like what you just posted, where sex between partners of less than a certain age gap is decriminalized.

Any kind of sexual activity outside marriage is illegal in Yemen. Item number 15 in Yemeni civil law reads that "no girl or boy can get married before the age of 15." However, this item was amended in 1998 so parents could make a contract of marriage between their children even if they are under the age of 15. But the husband cannot be intimate with her until she is ready or mature.[19]

Well, I read elsewhere that they generally consider "ready" or "mature" to be the onset of puberty, often pinpointed at 9 years, so the map is not really off.
