QuoteMK Anastassia Michaeli (Yisrael Beiteinu) poured a cup of water on her colleague MK Raleb Majadele (Labor) during an argument at a heated Knesset Education Committee debate on Monday morning.
The argument erupted after MK Danny Danon (Likud) called for the dismissal of the principal of a school in the Negev town of Arara, who took students on a human rights march held in Tel Aviv last month. The Knesset discussion was held following a Haaretz report that the Education Ministry reprimanded the Israeli-Arab high school.
"You are marching against the state," Michaeli shouted at Majadele, who answered back, "Shut up." He then added, "She won't shut me up. This is not Yisrael Beiteinu. Fascism will not be allowed to take over the house." Michaeli replied, "It is disrespectful to the status of women in the Knesset. We will discuss the matter in the Ethics Committee."
At a certain point in the argument, as it appeared that Michaeli was about to leave the room to calm down, she poured a cup of water and threw the contents at Majadele. Following that, she left the room in fury.
Majadele turned to Committee Chairperson, MK Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu), and said, "That says it all. I'm sure you wouldn't condone such wild and fascist behavior. I'm telling you, I'm excited. This is predictable. We'll take this matter to the Ethics Committee and we'll call her to order."
This is not the first time Michaeli has been involved in a violent confrontation with an Arab Knesset member. During a stormy parliamentary debate about the Gaza flotilla last June, Michaeli forced her way over to MK Hanin Zuabi (Balad), who was trying to address the plenum from the Knesset podium, and attempted to forcefully remove Zuabi while blocking the microphone.
Michaeli was reprimanded for physically interrupting the speech of her colleague, while Zuabi was sanctioned for participating in the 2010 Turkish-sponsored flotilla to Gaza.
Anastassia Michaeli? Who wants to bet she's about as Jewish as a bag of porkrinds?
The are going to call her to Order. /gasp
I'm willing to bet she is more Jewish than a bag of pork rinds.
I take your Jewish Watersports and raise you a Taiwanese full scale parliamentary brawl.
We know she is crazy. The real question is: is she hott?
Female Israeli politician seem to come in two forms: (1) hott; and (2) Golda Meir. :D

Your tireless efforts to bring Languish back to its roots should be recognized in some way.

Skinny, blonde and short-haired. Probably attractive to gay men, and maybe women, but not my type.

She's pretty hott. Looks like an angrier version of that one Assistant DA on Law & Order.
Another glamour shot (and gives a Caliga-perspective)....

But here is more of a "reality" shot, from the aforementioned incident even....

Typical Russian. No manners and aggressive towards dissent against The State.
Man, she definitely has her good side and her bad side.

Yisrael Beiteinu is the nut party right? The Russian one?
For some reason I'm reminded of Ivan Drago's wife.

For a politician she's an absolute knockout.

Man, she definitely has her good side and her bad side.
Apparently she's had 8 children, so it's impressive that she still looks that good.
And regarding the "as Jewish as a porkrind" comment:
QuoteBorn into a Christian family in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she won a city beauty contest, Michaeli married Yosef Samuelson in 1997 at the age of 22. The couple moved to Israel, and after her second son was born, she underwent an Orthodox conversion process, culminating with the couple's re-marriage, this time Jewishly, according to Orthodox practice.

Yep. Shame that Christianity's existence requires them.
