Better than those old Molson ads at least.
The real humour is the tards in the comments section.

Sounds okay to me. America would always have the ultimate say in a merger between any or all English-speaking countries. And they would adapt to service us.
Also, getting a passport is kind of a bother, right? It'd be a lot easier, for me, if everyone else just formed a union.

Your people could never have the vote though. Otherwise, things would just end up fucked up again.

Of course, I'd rather go to Toronto again (Massey Hall was faboo) instead of Chicago, where the Jim Belushi lookalikes might try to thrash you for not worshiping the Bears or wanting to eat that abortion of a pizza.

Would that be a good idea? We saw what happened a couple centuries ago and we were much weaker then.

I'd like to be able to opine meaningfully on pizzas, and I should, but being distant from our epicenters of culture, I can only compare Pizza Hut to Papa John's. :( (Pizza Hut.)
The pictures on the Chicago-style pizza wiki page look kind of fucked up, though. Goatse-like, in fact. : /

It took a couple years to implement but the rationale given to us by our American friends for creating the policy was that you could not be too careful in the post 9/11 world.

That explains American arrogance. At least the arrogance of Albertans (living south of Edomonton) has some justification.

my position concerns the government and the inapropriate use of its symbol to create a false canadian identity based on a foreign monarch.
The use of the British monarchy for "patriotism" is as appropriate as the use of a confederate flag in a southern state's government building.
If Canadians want to build an identity of their own, they should look toward the future, not the past.

Since this has been part of the Canadian identity since Canada has been a country one wonders which of us wishes Canadians used a "false" identity. ;)

Canada has been a semi-country since 1932. Before that, it was a full British Colony. In 1982, all provinces of Canada decided to be a real country, with their own Constitution, and the first gesture was to severly limit the powers the British Monarchy held over Canada.
I tought it was an important date for Canadians, but I guess the 1812 war is more important after all, as we will soon see ;)
So you want me to ignore all the history that occurred before 1982?
What is this thread about? I'm having a hard time figuring it out from the posts.

... in conclusion: I'm not sure.
Its pretty easy - those parts of Canada that have the Queen on their mantle > US.

I derailed a thread about Canadians being smug with one sentence. I do like how Viper compares a portrait of the queen to the Confederate flag flying in the South. Which has been done, even from government buildings.
