Found this video on Youtube. There's a whole bunch of old German newsreels. This one has Canadians.
Some are not clear what exactly is happening or where. One I saw involved a Tiger tanks and and grenadiers attacking... something in Russia. The title said it was from 1944, but I have no idea exactly when or where it was taken. Probably summer in the Ukraine or Poland, so likely during or right after Bagration.
But I suppose that's the nature of Nazi films.
Pretty interesting footage and commentary from the German side. A narration of events n the newsreel, showing how well prepared and ready Germany was, but we all know how that all turned out.
They omit a great deal. Also I don't know how accurate the translation is.
Did Allies ever turn things around?

hard to say. I heard the Chinese blocked all Google searches on it.

As the war got worse for the Germans their newsreels seemed to focus on ancillary topics like the War on Christmas, some nobody professor in Colorado, and the "gay agenda".
I haven't seen propoganda like that since the Bush administration.

Maybe it's a Polish thing.
Oh and seems the comment list is full of Slargos types.

Dang. Well make sure to let your neighbors know that the Atlantic Wall is still intact.
I liked the part where they showed off "one of the many gliders that was brought down". Umm, gliders are supposed to do that. They aren't supposed to look pretty after they land, either.

I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the narration, but most of what I heard seemed to match up with the translation. Only nitpick I have is how they translated PaK (Panzerabwehrkanone-- anti-tank gun) as "pack rifle".

Censored for some reason? It's a good tidbit of history, propaganda or not, being a wartime newsreel.

Pretty decent translation. At one point it should have used "flare", not "rocket." Also, when they show the captured paratroopers the subtitle says, "they can't believe the invasion is over", when in German voiceover it adds "for them."

That last part is quite an enormous difference, I would think.

No idea. Most Youtube videos that aren't available in Germany contain music and were "censored" by our version of RIAA. But with WW2 stuff it could also be that it is censored by Youtube so that they don't risk breaking the German anti-Nazi laws.

In which case it would very likely also be blocked by Austrians who are at least as rigorous as the German authorities in that regard.
Here's how the Germans saw it:

But if the censorship is extended past what is logical, you would expect enforcement to be inconsistent, so you wouldn't expect the Austrian authorities to censor the same things. Inconsistent enforcement is what you would expect in the case of poorly-thought-out laws.
What about poorly thought in-laws?

I'm filing this away for the next time some dumbass Euro argues why their speech regime is so benign. "WHY DO YOU LOVE RACISM?"
