So I'm down in London for a few days next month. Most of this time is taken up with work schizzle but I'm considering staying an extra day and doing a bit of touristing whilst I'm down there.
What are the must do things for a day in London? Apart from being stabbed by a 15 year old.
Imperial War Museum :bowler:
The Imperial War Museum. The Tower.
Disclaimer: haven't been to London in 20 years.
Yeah, go to the Tower if you want to be smashed in a crowd of fatties wearing Texas Longhorns ball caps.
Brazen. Definitely a "must do" while in London.

Maybe there were fewer colonials around during GW1. :hmm:

We know the cool places to hang out.
Just avoid British Museum and you'll be fine. Huge snorefest.

Watch out for grifters outside of that museum.

Did you go to Baltimore by accident, or was your Stetson a give-away to the locals ? :P
Annette Bening was hot. :mmm:

National Gallery
Good one, the Tate (original) is always worth a visit for the Turners along, plus it's one of the quietest galleries, especially on a sunday morning.
Imperial War Museum.
Imperial War Museum seems to be a winner :hmm:

Ahem!
Have you been before? What kind of stuff so you like? Do you want free stuff or are you prepared to pay? Do you want a series of locations or a nice walk that will take you round different places?
Tower of London, British Museum, Tate Gallery (or Tate Modern depending on your tastes).
Drink in the West End, eat in the East End.
Also, as an impoverished student, go to Borough Market. Lots of very delicious free samples to be had; work out a lap of the market and scoff them all down. As a bonus it's not far from the IWM and HMS Belfast either.
Heathrow. On the way of getting the hell out of that shithole.
IMO the neatest thing I saw in London was (Churchill's) Cabinet War Rooms. :bowler:

It's a big place and one area's very, very different from the next. I bet if you said what it was you hate about it, and what you like to find in cities, us Londoners could easily pick out areas and attractions you'd like.

I'm a jerk. :)
I've never been to the Imperial War Museum.
I recommend the National Maritime Museum though. Tragically where my dad took my mum for their honeymoon. And as a twentieth anniversary present...She was thrilled.
