Have you been before? What kind of stuff so you like? Do you want free stuff or are you prepared to pay? Do you want a series of locations or a nice walk that will take you round different places?

Tower of London, British Museum, Tate Gallery (or Tate Modern depending on your tastes).

Drink in the West End, eat in the East End.

Also, as an impoverished student, go to Borough Market. Lots of very delicious free samples to be had; work out a lap of the market and scoff them all down. As a bonus it's not far from the IWM and HMS Belfast either.

It's a big place and one area's very, very different from the next. I bet if you said what it was you hate about it, and what you like to find in cities, us Londoners could easily pick out areas and attractions you'd like.
