Or there could be something about signs and portents (earthquakes as early warnings, for example) in the fantasies regarding the significance of 2012, but I'm not really well-versed in all that crap.

Or it's a reference to an event in the film that I have not watched and have no intention of ever watching.

I thought New Madrid was a little more stable from the same fusing that created some of the subranges of the Rockies. :unsure:

Yes, that's the one I was referring to by 'this' earthquake.

edit: I just realized this was about the Mexico quake.  :blush:  But yes, she was talking about the Sumatra, Chili, and Haiti ones.
