So, assume you are going on a date or to hang out with your friends on a Friday or a Saturday night. What would be the average amount of money you spend (if you are paying for your date too, calculate it per person, rather than a total for two) on stuff like drinks, food, entertainment etc.
Dinner for two is usually around US$25-50. On a per person basis that's less than US$25. When we go out there are usually no other expenses. Voted $10-25.
Depends, a trip to the pub or cinema will come into one category, whilst if one has a meal as well it will be in the higher one. I'll vote for the lower one since those trips are theoretically more common.
Over $100. Taxi, food, drink... $100 won't get you far.
Eh. $50 - $100 per person normally (closer to the $100 ugh), although it can go higher depending on what's going on and all that.
Edit: Oh yeah, if using cabs, it gets a lot higher than that. :glare:
Thinking about it now, dinner will usually be around $100 total for the wife and I, then just go from there. A movie maybe....I dunno, $20? Goddamn ripoff whatever it is. Drinks after the movie, around $75 - $100 for the two of us, depending on where we go and what we get, I guess. Add on miscellaneous charges here and there, because there's always something. Maybe buy a round for some friends that you run in to, snag some smokes for the first time in two months because you just can't quite entirely quit. Things like that.
75 dollars at minimum.

That's why he only goes out once a year. :D
Personally, I'm in the upper end of the $25-50 bracket.
A regular night out with friends can be easily done under $25 per person.

Man you guys are classy. Keep it up.
Depends on the activity, really. Dinner + movie with friends will end up in the lower-end of $25-50 bracket, but a change of restaurant can bring it up to the $40 range, easy.

Ok, Martinus.
:grr:
A lot less than I used to. Used to be £20ish....which is horrid.
Now I drink at home then only try and top up at bars so rarely crack £10. Which still ruins my finances.
I've friends back home though who spend £60 a night as normal practice.
On an average week, we go out maybe twice. We make dinner at home about five times a week.
Depends on the night out. Goofing off with friends can be cheap, but if there's pussy involved, and you want any possible chance to see it, better bring your Visacard.

My future-wife paid for dinner the second time we dated.

Your culture is broken.
$10-25 on average. 99 cent Margaritas at Tumbleweed.
If I go to Seoul usually 80-120,000 Won, if I just go to Suwon 60-80,000 Won.

Haven't you bought a family there yet?
Depends where I go but it's usually between $15-$40.
Voted $25-$50.

Damn, even Mono goes out more then me.
I tend to spend more on nights out drinking with friends than I do on dates.
Probably about $10. Bottle of whiskey at a club $15, food and beer after $10, all split with friends, taxi home $2. In SF could easily spend $50 per night.

I noticed that Brits spend a lot. :bowler:
Typically $10-25 each head.
The places we go to: usually 20-30 EUR tops. 40-50 if we have dinner somewhere first (though often one of the group cooks).
I guess between 15-30 Euro would be my average night out in Germany - virtually all of that is for drinks and maybe 10 Euro for the taxi afterwards.
In Singapore, alcohol is very expensive. I guess I spent about 50 Euro here the nights I went out on average. That would include drinks, cover charge and taxi.
20-30€ on drinks plus ~20€ for a taxi back home.
It depends. Am I out with buddies, or trying to woo a fair maiden? Is this maiden in question in her 20s, 30s, or (God forbid) 40s? To answer such a question, one must know all the details...
I budget for 25-50 bucks but occasionally end up spending more. I don't go out nearly as often as I used to though. i have no idea how I afforded to party so much when I was younger, oh right, on credit. not the way to go.
